Nancy Langer Photography

In my far-flung travels to all seven continents I accumulated a large collection of images. My passion is documenting nature but I also capture images of other cultures around the world and cityscapes in New York City where I live.  My itineraries included: India, China, Dubai, Myanmar, Kenya, Uganda, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Peru, Galapagos, Antarctica, The Falkland Islands, Manitoba Canada, the Pantanal in Brazil, Alaska, Panama, Iceland, and many states in the United States, including a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon.  I feel privileged to have observed and photographed many animal species that are endangered and listed as vulnerable.

I produced a solo exhibit of my wildlife and landscape images in New Rochelle, NY a few years ago and currently exhibit several of my nature and cultural photos at the Stride Arts gallery in New York City.  I also exhibited in several juried and non-juried group shows. I have been invited to give presentations of my travels to Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands, my adventure to the Pantanal in Brazil, and my photography trip to Myanmar. I created a YouTube video titled “A Photo Memoir of My Pantanal Adventure.” and published a book titled “My Life In the East 50s” with a history and images of my neighborhood in New York City.

I am active in two photography groups in New York City:  Professional Women Photographers and Sierra Photo NYC, a subgroup of the National Sierra Club where I am co-chair and in my 6th year serving as speaker coordinator.
